How to participate in the Curious Minds program
Curious Minds is an invitational program. For the 2019/2020 program, students are invited based on their performance in one of the following competitions:
2018 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) sponsored by the Commonwealth Bank
2019 Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT)
2019 Big Science Competition (BSC)
The program will be particularly targeted towards girls in underrepresented STEM subjects in years 9 and 10 who are disadvantaged, rural/remote and/or Indigenous.
Most of the costs will be covered by government funding. Participants will be asked to contribute $200 for the six-month program. This covers all travel, accommodation and living costs associated with the two camps. Attendees will be required to cover their own return transfers to and from their local airport.

For STEM Coaches (Mentors)
The coaching program will see each student matched with a female STEM coach based on STEM area of interest and, where possible, geographical location. STEM coaches will spend six months in regular contact with one or two students and work through an array of career, study and skill-building topics.
