Junior Science Olympiad Training Squad

We are thrilled to introduce the Junior Science Olympiad Training Squad, an enrichment program for science-loving students who live in regional and remote areas, or live in low socio-economic areas.

The goal of the Junior Science Olympiad Training Squad is to support the science education of students in regional and rural areas, encourage their interest in science and prepare them for future Australian Science Olympiad opportunities.

As a part of the Junior Science Olympiad Training Squad, students receive access to a self-paced online enrichment program developed in partnership with Stile Education, get one-on-one support from subject matter experts, and invitations to exclusive ASI events.

Selection process:

Due to the limited number of placements in the Junior Science Olympiad Training Squad, participation is by invitation only.

To be eligible for selection, students must:

  • Sit the Junior Science Olympiad Exam and achieve a strong result.
  • Live and attend school in a regional and remote area or low socio-economic area.
  • Be in Year 9 or lower in the year of the exam.
  • Be turning 14 or younger in the year of the exam.

The Junior Science Olympiad Exam is designed to be challenging and spans science curriculum from Years 7 to 10. We take scores and year level into consideration when selecting students.

Registrations for the Junior Science Olympiad Exam are now open.
