Claire is a PhD student at the Australian National University in Canberra.
She was a bronze medallist at the 2017 International Physics Olympiad and has been involved as a staff member of the physics program since, including as Deputy Director in 2021–22.
Claire has a Bachelor of Philosophy with First Class Honours in Physics from the Australian National University. She has completed research internships at the University of Tokyo and the University of New South Wales, and worked as a research assistant at the University of Sydney. In her PhD in physical oceanography, she is researching ocean-ice interactions near Antarctica with the hope of improving climate models and sea level rise predictions.
