Try the sample questions on this website. Then you will know what to expect in the Competition.
Bring in a spare pencil and some working paper.
Read the questions carefully, and then read them again. It is easy to mis-read words in a question the first time through.
You answer questions by colouring in a small circle on the answer sheet. Make sure you colour in the circle next to the right question number.
If you get stuck on a question, put a mark next to it and go on to the next one. You can always come back to the hard question.
Spend your time wisely! You have 60 minutes to answer 30 questions, which works out to 2 minutes for each question.
Make sure you answer every question. Each question has four possible answers, and you have to choose the right one. If you're not sure, eliminate the options you know are incorrect.
If you don't know, guess. There is no penalty for getting an answer wrong.
Go back and check your answers.
